How Can We Help?

These are trouble-filled, mad, mad times.

There’s no doubt that we’re living in an upside down world. And while we’re in it, we will all have trouble. All kinds of trouble, all of us, our families, rich or poor, at one time or another, we will all have some kind of personal trouble. Trouble in our community, on our streets, in our family.

Well, here’s some good new. Whether troubles are physical or medical, relational or social, emotional or mental, behavioral or financial, personal or marital, conflict, post-trauma, addiction, whatever it is: These issues are treatable.

And if you have the determination, access and means, you can address and resolve your troubles.

But what if you don’t–have access or the means? Then what do you do?

“Do what you can where you are, with what you have.” –Theodore Roosevelt

And so we started our company to offer solutions that ease the impact of these troubles.

Since 2019 our research pointed us towards a major, world-wide behavioral and mental health crisis—and that was before COVID-19. Convicted by the data, we put an emphasis on adding a spectrum of behavioral & mental health & wellness programs to our LIVING 2.0 benefits programs.

That was the start of our journey. And the LIVING 2.0 FOUNDATIONS program is a continuation of our mission, with a twist; as we aim to work with those with means to serve those without.

“In my 12 years as a DE&I manager of a Fortune 500 company I have never seen such a well thought out, complete program to serve this community as your program does!”  —A DE&I Trainer & Consultant

We’ve been working with dozens of groups, associations, companies, and insightful partners for over 7 years now, developing solutions that meet the needs of a diverse population in the midst of a variety of challenges and struggles. We know what people are going through, and our solutions help.

Now all families that get this program will be able to access things like therapists, doctors, affordable prescription drugs, and more, as easily as launching an app on their smartphones. We deliver the entire program to each family (of up to 8 members) for a donation or grant of only $360 for 12-months access, including support and ongoing educational content. And all of our programs are available across these United States of America and Canada.

Between the $0 cost TeleHealth services, mental health self-care programs, and the $5 pharmacy program, it not only saves money, it gives families without any means access to certified, high quality mental health professionals. This is a Godsend!” —A Corporate Community DE&I Liaison

Why build a program to serve low-income families?

After about 30 years of serving low-income families in inner-cities where we live, then in Central America, Eastern Europe, and Africa with my wife and two sons, I started LIVING 2.0 in October 2015 as a way to integrate what I do to make a living with a way to serve people as my primary focus.

We built the first self-help relationship program to serve those who could not afford couples counseling. That quickly expanded to other programs—a child development program, an award winning self-help app for those struggling to live a sober life, a health risk assessment that helps you determine if you’re struggling with PTSD or trauma, or any other major health issues. The addition of additional programs continues to this day, focusing on 3 primary areas of Health & Wellness, including: Physical, Financial, and Behavioral and Mental.

We combined many of the above benefits for a client in Atlanta in May, 2022, and as I worked with them to develop marketing campaigns for their vertical markets, it became clear that this program met so many needs for so many groups because it solved so many real life problems. And it has an even greater impact for the people with the greatest needs: low-income, minority and single parent families.

Our Program is based on facts:

America spends more on healthcare as a percentage of GDP than any other country in the world, yet 112 million Americans are unable to afford proper medical care.(1) These people are the focus of our efforts and all are from low-income, minority and single-parent family homes with children. And there’s such great demand:

«  Over 31 million Americans cannot afford medical attention(2), while 16% of all hospitalizations could be prevented if the patient visited a doctor when they had early warning signs.

«  35% of families earning under $40,000 a year cannot afford acute and chronic medications(3).

«  51% of adults 18-29 years old suffer from Anxiety and Depression Disorders—up over 600% since 2019(4).

«  90% of Black youths struggling with behavioral and mental health issues go without help.

«  <70% of all adults in need go without help.

LIVING 2.0 Foundations is a powerful solution.

Good health starts in our homes, neighborhoods, and communities. We know that taking care of ourselves by eating well and staying active, not smoking, and seeing a doctor when we are sick all influence our health. We also acknowledge that the impact of worldwide issues are creating significant behavioral and mental health issues, making access to these services equally as important.

We built a program that delivers high-touch access to medical and mental health professionals, and is high-tech—using the latest technology to provide direct and confidential access to self-care digital benefits programs for issues the majority of our core constituents would rather keep private. This combination allows us to provide services at a fraction of the cost of traditional providers while still maintaining high user satisfaction levels. And now we’ve partnered with nonprofit organizations so all grants and donations can be tax deductible.

Our program includes:

«  $0 cost TeleMedicine service with 24/7 access to board certified doctors,

«  $0 cost TeleTherapy program with access to our 60,000 mental health professionals with little-to no wait times,

«  $5 cost Pharmacy Rx benefit,

«  Hospital Debt Relief program that can dramatically reduce past hospital debts, and even future usage,

«  $10,000 of guaranteed issue, term life insurance for the primary family member,

«  Plus access to 5 additional award-winning self-care/self-help programs covering behavioral health & mental health needs.

And remember, families of up to 8 people get the entire program for $360 per annual membership. And we also provide support and a ongoing educational programming and video content/webinars from our entire slate of partners; from medical experts, mental health professionals, health and wellness experts, nutritionists, and more.

How we determine distribution:

We match all grants and donations with our list of qualifying people and families and give them a 12-month membership in our program, giving them access to the above set of benefits programs. For corporate citizenship funds and grants we have a multi-pronged approach:

«  Based on the size of the grant or donation, each company can submit a list of up to 5 of the top markets where they wish to direct their community support.

«  We then work with existing non-profits the company already partners with in those cities and communities, and add them to our master Recipient List, and then

«  We contact our network of national non-profit organizations; along with reaching out to local non-profits in the identified markets to build a list of qualified recipient families.

«  Promotional Events: We also will coordinate and produce a launch event for each community and organization we work with, to be run as follows:

«  Get video coverage of the event and edit it for use in the appropriate media and social media channels, and distribute it to the donor company, LIVING 2.0, the athlete’s foundation, etc.

«  Usually held at a local non-profit facility

«  Invite 15 to 20+ of the recipient families to attend

«  Invite the appropriate community leaders, politicians, and in some cases,

«  A professional NBA/NFL/MLB/MLS athlete (from our network of contacts) and have them interact with the recipient families, pose for pictures, etc.

«  The founder of  LIVING 2.0 FOUNDATIONS emcee’s the event

«  An executive of the donor company or organization who will also deliver a message
